MANILA, Philippines. – Smart stopped its two-game skid after scoring a straight-set victory over Philippine Navy, 25-18, 25-14, 25-11, in the Shakey’s V-League Open ConferenceTuesday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
Thai ace Lithawat Kesinee dropped 20 points to lead the Net Spikers, who moved in third place with a 4-2 mark.
The return of Maru Banaticla also sparked Smart’s win with 12 points on four service aces. Suzanne Roces and Gretchel Soltones chipped in with 11 points each.
The Net Spikers rebounded from their stunning three-set defeat at the hands of Air Force last Friday.
No Lady Sailor notched in double-figure scoring with Cecille Cruzada’s measly eight points leading the team. Navy dropped to 1-4.
