Striegl, Jang dispute PCX title

SUBMISSION specialist Mark Striegl has waited for the longest time to reach new career heights.

The Filipino-American finally gets a title shot against Korean Top Team’s Kim Jang-yong in their featherweight showdown Saturday night in Pacific Xtreme Combat 39 at Ynares Sports Arena.

“I’ve never fought for a belt and I’m really happy to be here,” said Striegl yesterday during the PSA Forum at Shakey’s Malate.

“I think aggression is my advantage, as well as speed and stamina,” added the 25-year-old from Baguio City who won all of his 12 fights, 10 of them by submission.

Called “The Beast” for his ferocity, Kim can slug it out toe to toe with a ground expert like Striegl.

“This fight will be a battle of ground tactics while the other bouts also promise to be equally exciting,” said PXC CEO and promoter EJ Calvo.
