PBA: Bolts zap Express, bolster twice-to-beat bid
MANILA, Philippines — Mike Cortez reminded Air 21 of what he’s capable of as he helped the Meralco Bolts to score a 100-91 win over the Express in the 38th PBA Governors’ Cup Sunday at the Cuneta Astrodome.
Cortez, who was traded to Meralco recently, starred with 17 points, six assists and two steals as the Bolts tied the San Mig Coffee Mixers in second place with identical 5-3 records.

The Express, who is in danger of missing the quarterfinals after falling to 2-6 with one game left in the elimination round, were paced by Zach Graham’s 22 points.
