Ravena, Eaglets bank on strong start, whip Bulldogs
KIEFER RAVENA got Ateneo off to a strong start as the Blue Eaglets ripped the National University Bullpups, 82-64, to grab the solo lead in the UAAP juniors basketball tournament yesterday at the FilOil-Flying V Arena.
The Blue Eaglets rolled to their fifth straight victory, while pinning on the Bullpups their first loss in five games.
Ravena pumped in 17 points to pace the Blue Eaglets.
Adamson and University of Santo Tomas shared third place at 3-2 after routing separate opponents.
The Baby Falcons drubbed the FEU Baby Tams, 92-80.
The Tiger Cubs also coasted to a 108-73 romp over the University of the East Junior Warriors with Kevin Ferrer dominating with all-around game of 26 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, four steals and three blocks.
La Salle Zobel completed a day of routs by crushing University of the Philippines, 125-72, for a 2-3 card.
