A BIGGER and better Tri United Series is on tap next year.

Event organizer Unilab Active Health and Bike King is preparing a tougher and longer course for participants out to push themselves to their physical limits.

The Tri United Series will unveil a long-distance race made up of a 1.9K swim, 90K bike, and 21K run in next year’s calendar.

The longer race comes on top of the sprint, standard (1.5K-40K-10K) and triking (2K-60K-15K) distances for the series.

The 2014 calendar has been developed with experts in the swim, bike, and run community, organizers said.

Meanwhile, the annual Active Health duathlon will still be held at the SCTEX with a 6K-50K-4K distance, according to the Triathlon Association of the Philippines. The calendar will also include a separate cycling event in late 2014. Cedelf P. Tupas
