MANILA—Coach Louie Alas thinks new import Rasheim Wright has more to show when the AirAsia Philippine Patriots try to keep the solo lead in the AirAsia Asean Basketball League tonight.
Wright, who strained his hamstring on his debut, got the go signal to suit up for the Patriots in their 8 p.m. battle against the Chang Thailand Slammers at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
“He’s very impressive, but he can do a lot better,” said Alas.
Wright collected 22 points, five assists and three rebounds before a fourth-quarter injury sidelined him for the rest of the game in the Patriots’ 87-85 double overtime win against the Singapore Slingers last Sunday.
The Patriots, the defending champions eyeing a seventh win, aim for a repeat of their 54-48 victory over the Slammers.
