Undefeated Milan Melindo is ready to avenge the loss suffered by IBF light flyweight champion Brian Viloria to Colombia’s talented Carlos Tamara when they clash in the main event of “Pinoy Pride 2: Best of the Best” at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu on Nov. 27.
In his final sparring session against flyweights Gerson Mancio and Melvin Gumban, Ala gym head trainer Edito “Ala” Villamor said the world-rated Melindo “looked impressive.”
Villamor said Melindo is in “great condition” and punching with “a lot more power.”
A confident Melindo who has a record of 22-0 with 7 knockouts, is coming off a second-round knockout of Korean champion Jin Man Jeon last Aug. 28.
Tamara won the IBF title with a 12th round technical knockout over Viloria last Jan. 23 at the Cuneta Astrodome.
