MANILA, Philippines — Cagayan dominated its way to the Shakey’s V-League Season 10 finals, riding on a 14-game win streak capped by a sweep of Philippine Air Force in the semifinals Friday.
The Rising Suns finished off the Airwomen, 27-25, 25-19, 25-15, in game two at the Arena in San Juan to be the first squad to make it to the finals of the tournament’s Open Conference.

After withstanding a tough stand from Air Force in the first set, league leader Cagayan made sure to wrap the game as quick as possible.
An ace from Sandra Delos Santos, a service error from Air Force, and hits by Leuseht Dawis and Sheila Pineda ended the lopsided third set.

The Airwomen, meanwhile, only gave away 15 points on error compared to the Rising Suns’ 23 but just lacked the firepower as only Judy Ann Caballejo had a double-digit output with 10.
