Arwind Santos best player of the conference; Marqus Blakely best import

MANILA, Philippines — Petron Blaze forward Arwind Santos was named Best Player of the Conference while San Mig Coffee’s versatile reinforcement Marqus Blakely bagged the Best Import award Sunday before tipoff of Game 2 of the 2013 PBA Governors’ Cup Finals between the Boosters and the Mixers at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Santos accumulated 1,202 points as he bested two of his teammates June Mar Fajardo and Alex Cabagnot, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel’s chief playmaker LA Tenorio and GlobalPort’s Jay Washington for the individual award.

Fajardo, the six-foot-10 rookie center, came in far second with 777 points followed by Cabagnot with 558 points, Tenorio with 457 points and Washington with 388.

Meanwhile, Blakely, who collected 1,322 points, topped Petron’s Elijah Millsap (937 points), Rain or Shine’s Arizona Reid (673 points) and Meralco’s Mario West (450 points).
