Jeric Teng turns from a heartbroken varsity star into a pro hopeful as the University of Santo Tomas stalwart signed up for the PBA Rookie Draft yesterday.

The Draft is slated Nov. 3 at Robinsons Place Manila where Barangay Ginebra is set to make either former NCAA Most Valuable Player Ian Sangalang of San Sebastian or Ateneo’s former seven-foot star Greg Slaughter as the No. 1 pick.

Teng averaged 23 points, 5.3 rebounds and a couple of assists in the UAAP best-of-three title series won by the La Salle Archers with an overtime 71-69 decision in Game 3 last Saturday.
