PH judokas snare 5 golds

THE PHILIPPINES grabbed five gold medals on the first day of the Southeast Asian Judo Championships in Burma (Myanmar)yesterday.

Dennis Lloyd Catipon (-66kg), Gilbert Ramirez (-73kg), Janielou Mosqueda (-57kg), Helen Dawa (-48kg) and Bryan Quillotes (-60kg) ruled their respective events in this tuneup  meet  for the Southeast Asian Games this December.

Trained in Iran, the PH team is still expecting three more golds through Fil-Japanese players Kyomi Watanabe, Kodo Nakano and Kenji Yahata who are top picks in their respective classes. Marc Anthony Reyes
