NATIONAL team member Jonard Saim will compete against Unilab Active Health aces Philip Atento, Benjamin Rana, Jr., and Dan Brown in the men’s elite race when the Tri United 3 race fires off Sunday at Subic Bay Freeport.

The four standouts are among about 500 triathletes in the latest edition of the series where elite and age-group campaigners will be negotiating a standard distance course—1.5K swim-40m bike-10K run.

Unilab’s Ani de Leon-Brown is the heavy favorite to prevail in the women’s elite race, which starts at 6 a.m. at Dungaree Beach.

Endure Multisport, PLDT-Bike King, Smart Triathlon Team, TriMac, Team Sante Barley and Unilab Active Health are vying in the team competition.

The Top 3 in both the men’s and women’s categories will receive medals plus gift packs from sponsors of the event backed by Unilab Active Health, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority  Tourism Department, Enervon Active, Enervon HP, I-ON Energy Drink, Hydrite, AboitizPower, Pocari Sweat, Timex, Crystal Clear Purified Water, Corima and Orbea.
