NCAA probing San Beda’s Koga for allegedly playing in another league
MANILA, Philippines — Allegations of San Beda guard Ryusei Koga violating NCAA rules after allegedly playing in another league while the season is still in play has reached the league’s Managing Committee.
NCAA chairman Dax Castellano of host College of St. Benilde said the league “will look into these allegations” after an evidence has been presented.
“Actually, we’re reacting to numerous reports that San Beda’s Koga has been playing in another league while the NCAA was ongoing,” Castellano revealed to reporters following a two-hour meeting Tuesday night. “We’re still in the process of investigating on this. As of right now that’s all I can say.”
Article continues after this advertisementCastellano also said that there were videos presented as evidence and that the ManCom will conduct another meeting Wednesday to further tackle the serious accusations.
The ManCom will make its decision in the next two days according to Castellano, who added that the league also formed a committee that will investigate the matter.
Castellano though, refused to reveal as to who, from a league member school, presented the evidence.
