MANILA, Philippines — Big Chill needed just six seconds to steal the game away from National University-BDO.

The Superchargers scored five points in the final 6.6 seconds of the game to shock the Bulldogs, 92-91, in the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup Monday at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

“I’m speechless. I can’t believe what had just happened,” Big Chill head coach Robert Sison told reporters as he was still trying to catch his breath just moments after the thrilling finish.

Forward Khazim Mirza stole a weak pass by NU guard Gelo Alolino before laying it in for the game-winning basket with just 1.7 ticks left.

Janus Lozada buried a tough step back triple from the right corner that made it, 90-91, with 3.7 seconds remaining before Mirza’s interception and go-ahead bucket.

“It’s one for the books. I have to admit, it’s just a lucky win.”

Lozada topscored with 21 points on three-of-six shooting from deep while Mirza added 15 points, 10 in the fourth quarter.

The Bulldogs seemed on their way to picking up their first win after taking a 91-87 lead on two free throws by Jeoffrey Javillionar with only 11.6 seconds left.

But that only setup the wild windup.

The Superchargers, who opened up their campaign with a win, also ruined the D-League debut of two-time UAAP MVP Ray Parks.

Parks had 17 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks but not even his return could get the Bulldogs, who dropped to 0-2, over the hump.
