San Mig Coffee ships Chua, Najorda to GlobalPort for Holstein
MANILA, Philippines — Obviously, GlobalPort isn’t done yet in making moves to improve its roster.
A day after trading away veteran guard Willie Miller and Hans Thiele to Barako Bull for Enrico Villanueva, the Batang Pier shipped their seventh overall pick Isaac Holstein.
GlobalPort drafted the six-foot-eight Holstein last Sunday in the 2013 Rookie Draft but immediately traded the big man for San Mig Coffee’s Justin Chua and forward Leo Najorda Tuesday night.

Holstein, who had an unsuccessful stint with Big Chill in the PBA D-League, is still a work in progress and with San Mig Coffee still with a handful of bigs in Marc Pingris, Yancy de Ocampo and Rafi Reavis the Mixers clearly have the time for Holstein’s development.
The six-foot-four Chua joins GlobalPort’s other young stars expected to make an impact in the league in RR Garcia, Terrence Romeo and fellow Blue Eagle Nico Salva.
