Got Skills: NU, Marist fives score

NATIONAL University, Marist School and Chiang Kai Shek led the opening-day winners Sunday in the first Got Skills Age Group Basketball Showdown at Xavier School in Greenhills, San Juan.

AJ Amsali, named best player of the game, knocked in 30 points and nine rebounds as the NU Bullpups beat De La Salle-Zobel, 65-51, in Group A of 13-Under action.

Jeoffrey Gayda  had 26 points for Marist as it beat San Beda-Taytay, 64-60, while Joshua Ramirez fired 11 points for CKS, a 62-48 winner over La Salle Green Hills-Prada.

In Group B, Diliman Preparatory School stopped San Beda-Alabang, 43-33, in Group B, while LSGH-PAYA outplayed DBTI, 68-42.

A total of 1,320 kids are entered in the 10-weekend cagefest, which is supported by Chris Sports, SKLZ Philippines, Fitness and Athletics Company and  Goody Gulp Milk Drink.
