‘Bakbakan’ 11-stag entries reach 3,600

THE NFGB National Bakbakan 11-Stag Derby, which has lured 3,600 entries with 54 more rounds left, resumes today in four venues.

Three-stag qualifying rounds get going at Las Piñas Coliseum, Malvar Cockpit in Batangas, San Pedro Coliseum in Laguna and Texas Cockpit in Rizal.

Other coming qualifiers are slated at Tabora Sports Center and Taal Cockpit on Nov. 14, Jaycee Sports Center, Arcontica Cockpit, Edwards Coliseum and Calasiao Cockpit (Nov.15), Malvar Cockpit (Nov. 16), Lucky Sports Center (Nov. 17) and Tanza Cockpit (Nov. 18).

Six new Toyota Hi-Lux pick-ups will be raffled off on Dec. 16, said National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders executive director Arnel Añonuevo.

Metro Manila cockers may join “Bakbakan” on Nov. 22 (Pasay Cockpit), Nov. 23 (Roligon) and Nov. 28 (Pasig Square). The semifinal round  is on Dec. 1 at Pasay cockpit.
