CEU, EAC fives stay unscathed in WNCAA
MANILA—Centro Escolar University and Emilio Aguinaldo College disposed of their respective rivals over the weekend and kept their unblemished records in senior basketball in the 42nd WNCAA.
EAC slipped past San Beda Alabang, 71-67, while Rubelyn Mendoza fired 20 points to lead CEU to an 81-41 rout of University of Asia and the Pacific. Both teams rose to 3-0.
Geneva Quitalan and Marjorie Borres fired 24 and 23 points, respectively, for EAC.

SBCA survived UA&P in four sets, 25-19 17-25, 25-21, 25-19, and RTU demolished St. Scholastica, 25-17, 25-14, 25-22.
De La Salle Zobel, defending champion in midgets volleyball and junior futsal, likewise remained unscathed.

Poveda tied DLSZ for the midgets lead when it downed SBCA, 25-16, 25-15.
In junior basketball, LSCA nipped Poveda, 58-56, and St. Paul College Pasig routed SBCA, 63-51, to share top spot at 3-0.
Angelicum paces Group A of junior volleyball at 2-0 after stopping Poveda, 25-6, 25-11, 25-9, and SBCA posted a similar mark in Group B with a 25-15, 25-16, 25-18 trampling of St. Jude Catholic School.
PWU leads senior futsal with two wins in as many matches after besting Miriam, 2-0.
