PBA, NCAA offer help to victims of ‘Yolanda’
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Basketball Association and the National Collegiate Athletic Association pledged help to the victims of super typhoon “Yolanda” Monday.
The PBA, through TV5’s Alagang Kapatid program, is set to donate P1,000,000 to the victims in Tacloban City, one of the worst-hit areas of the typhoon which wreaked havoc over the weekend as announced on its official Twitter account @pbaconnect.
Article continues after this advertisementThe NCAA meanwhile, offered a moment of silence and announced a P100,000 donation before tipoff of its Finals opener at the Mall of Asia Arena.
