KRASNOYARSK, Russia—The Philippines’ Benshir Layoso and Maria Lourdes (Mades) Arles posted remarkable scores after two days to boost their chances of hurdling the 24-man cut in the 2013 Qubica AMF Bowling World Cup at Krasnoyarsk Center here.
Layoso rolled 2916 pinfalls in 12 games for a sizzling 243 average to rank fourth in the men’s division while Arles tallied 2944 in 13 games to check in sixth in the women’s division.
Sweden’s Peter Hellstrom and Canada’s Caroline Lagrange showed the way in the event with 3061 and 3186, respectively.
