“He (Romeo) is special, everybody knows that even when he was still in the UAAP,” said GlobalPort coach Richie Ticzon, who picked up his first win after his team absorbed an 87-97 setback at the hands of Petron Blaze in his head coaching debut last Wednesday.
The former Far Eastern U guard Romeo sparked GlobalPort’s run late in the third quarter and denied Air 21’s comeback bid as well with five unanswered points that extended Batang Pier’s advantage back to 16, 110-94, with only 1:56 left.
