MANILA, Philippines — Filipino bet Dan Nazareno Jr. stopped England’s Liam Vaughan in the second round of the four-round super welterweight fight, part of the non-televised undercard matches for the “Clash in Cotai” Sunday in Macau.
Nazareno, who hails from Pampanga, battered Vaughan in the second round, prompting the referee to halt the fight in the 59-second mark.
Nazareno hiked his record to 18-10 with 14 knockouts while Vaughan dropped to 8-2 with 2 KOs. Both fighters sparred with Manny Pacquiao in preparation for his bout with Brandon Rios, which headlines the fightcard.
