MACAU—Bob Arum stepped out of Manny Pacquiao’s suite at The Venetian South wearing a wide grin.

The promotion, his first major venture in China, was a success and more promising endeavors are in the horizon.

“Very good morning,” Arum replied to Filipino sportswriters who greeted him.

“Let’s forget about the fight. It’s time to celebrate,” said Arum, who was very pleased with the crowd turnout and the closed circuit sales.

What made Arum happier, however, was Pacquiao’s return to the top.

“He’s back where he should be,” said Arum.

With his impressive victory, Pacquiao is sure to attract huge interest in the United States again and Arum is cashing in on that.

The venerable promoter, who’s turning 82 on Dec. 8, announced on Sunday that Pacquiao’s next fight will be on April 12 in Las Vegas.

“Let’s all have a merry Christmas,” he said.
