MANILA, Philippines – San Bed grabbed a share of the early lead in the standings following a 25-20, 25-18, 25-21 win over Lyceum in the NCAA Season 89 women’s volleyball tournament Wednesday at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Janine Marciano and Frances Molina combined for 45 points to lead the Lady Red Spikers, who joined College of St. Benilde and San Sebastian atop the heap with identical 3-0 records.

Marciano topscored with 23 points, including four service aces while Molina added 22 points with three blocks.

Jhemil Abadilla was the lone Lady Pirate notching double-digit points with 10 as her team, which failed to draw enough support on both ends, fell to 0-3
