MANILA, Philippines — Basketball stars from the UAAP and the NCAA tandem with basketball enthusiasts in showbiz to gather help for the victims of super typhoon ‘Yolanda’ in “Fastbreak 2” set on Saturday.

The benefit match that will bring together the top collegiate players in the nation, as spearheaded by Ateneo star guard Kiefer Ravena, is scheduled at 12:30 p.m. at the Blue Eagle Gym.

Tickets to the event, which will open with a mass and a mini-concert, are pegged at P100, P200 and P500.

It was the first time that Ravena has organized such a charity match. Back in 2012, Ravena successfully raised funds for those affected by typhoon “Sendong” in Mindanao.

Ravena, this time, teams up with celebrities Xian Lim, Jhong Hilario, Vhong Navarro, Billy Crawford and younger brother Thirdy as they go up against a squad bannered by two-time UAAP seniors MVP Ray Parks.

Parks will have Gerald Anderson, Chris Tiu, Young JV, Ervic Vijandre and Kevin Alas among others, as his teammates for a day.

Volleyball stars like Alyssa Valdez, Michelle Gumabao, Fille Cainglet, among others, will also grace the event and will figure in halftime activities.
