/ 01:02 AM December 01, 2013

BELGIAN pro triathlete Anthony Devos and former national triathlon champion Monica Torres are the bets to beat in the inaugurals of the Ilocos Heritage Tri 113 today in Ilocos Sur.

Devos, 22, totes a personal best of 4 hours and 19 minutes, the fastest among the elite vying for the top prize of P50,000 in the 1.9-kilometer, 90-km bike and 21.1 kilometer grind starting at Santiago Cove in Santiago City and ending at Heritage Village in Vigan City.

Torres, the local Ironman queen since 2009, is a cinch to rule the distaff side.
