PHILIPPINE Team aces Mark Griffin and Sam Bermudez topped their respective divisions in the 2013 WWASP Cable Wakeboard National Championships held recently at Deca Homes Clark Wake Park in Clark, Pampanga.

The 34-year-old Griffin emerged men’s Open Wakeboard champion while Bermudez, the 2011 Southeast Games bronze medalist, captured the women’s crown.

Griffin and Bermudez also came out on top of  the Wake Boarding and Waterskiing Association of the Philippines  (WWASP) national rankings, the basis for the selection of PH Team riders that will represent the country in International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation-sanctioned international events.  These include the Asian Beach Games in Nov. 2014, the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore and the 2014 IWWF World Championships in Norway.
