Cagayan Valley and Cignal completed the Final Four cast after turning to their support crew in dispatching separate opponents in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) Grand Prix women’s volleyball yesterday at Ynares Sports Arena.

The Rising Suns downed newcomer RC Cola, 25-21, 25-18, 15-25, 25-9, despite the limited minutes played by injured Thai import Wanida Kotruang.

Danika Gendrauli also stepped up as the HD Spikers hacked out a 19-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-22 decision over Petron in the other quarterfinal match.

Kotruang, who has been fueling the Rising Suns’ strong run, saw action only in the first set due to muscle spasms on her right knee.

But the trio of Patcharee Saengmuang, Angelique Tabaquero and Aiza Maizo-Fontillas came through for the Rising Suns, who capped the match with a commanding 25-9 fourth set.
