Portland snaps Oklahoma streak
PORTLAND, Oregon—LaMarcus Aldridge had a season-high 38 points and added 13 rebounds and Portland snapped Oklahoma City’s eight-game winning streak with a 111-104 victory Wednesday.
In Atlanta, Kyle Korver tied the NBA record for consecutive games with a three-pointer and scored a season-high 23 points in the Hawks’ 107-97 victory over the Clippers.

Kobe gets shoe idea while watching Pacman
Article continues after this advertisementWATCHING Manny Pacquiao during a 2010 visit to the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood gave Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant a sudden idea about a shoe design.
“I was with Pacquiao watching him train preparing for a fight [against Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez] and I’m looking down, looking at his boxing boot and I’m saying, ‘Man, I wonder if there’s something there?’” Bryant said in a video posted at sports website Bleacher Report.
The result: Kobe 9, which will be out on the market on Feb. 2014 and is priced at $225 (P9,800).
Bryant is hoping to return to action Sunday in a game against Toronto after being out due to an achilles injury while Pacquiao is coming off a lopsided win over Brandon Rios in Macau. The fight generated around 500,000 pay-per-view hits, according to Top Rank. Roy Luarca
