Abundo leads Cafe France’s rout of Wangs in PBA D-League

MANILA, Philippines — Cafe France chalked up a lopsided 64-43 victory over Wangs Basketball Thursday to stay within sight of the leaders in the 2013 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup at the Ynares Arena in Pasig.

Mon Abundo poured 10 of his game-high 17 points in the third quarter as the Bakers outscored the Couriers, 22-12, and stretched their lead to 46-30 going into the fourth.

The 5-8 reserved guard also had 12 rebounds as Cafe France outrebounded Wangs Basketball, 59-53.

Josan Nimes contributed 16 points and Cameroonian Rod Ebondo added 12 and 10 boards for the Bakers, who held the Couriers (3-5) to just 27 percent shooting in the second half.
