NCA 6-cock derby series gets going

THE KICKOFF leg of the National Cockers Alliance (NCA) 6-cock derby circuit fires off on Tuesday next week with the cream of the country’s finest cockers seeing action at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The derby series follows the multileg stag circuit staged by the popular organization of breeders and gamefowl enthusiasts.

Tuesday’s maiden derby at the arena wholly owned by the Rizal provincial government will be hosted by sportsmen Luding Boongaling, Eugene Martin, Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy Olano and features guest cockers Ronald, Rolly Bautista, and friends of Rey Soberano.

The second leg of the NCA 6-cock derby will be held on Jan. 7 next year with Osang dela Cruz, Procis Aquino, Pol Estrellado and Arnold Mendoza as co-hosts.

The World Championship Derby (WCD), one of toughest in the world, will then be held on Jan. 14, 16, and 18, 2014.
