Petron Blaze goes 7-0 after beating Meralco
MANILA, Philippines – Second year star Junmar Fajardo imposed his will anew as Petron Blaze remained the lone unbeaten team after beating Meralco, 77-73, in the 2014 PLDT MyDSL Philippine Cup Saturday at Dipolog Sports Complex.
Fajardo did damage on both ends of the floor with 12 points, 19 rebounds and three blocks to lead the Boosters to their seventh consecutive win.
Article continues after this advertisementGuard Alex Cabagnot led all scorers with 17 points in just his second game back from a right foot injury, just three days after his game-winning runner pushed Petron past Air21, 90-88.
Marcio Lassiter and reigning MVP Arwind Santos had 16 and 14 points, respectively.
Lassiter uncorked a three-pointer that put the Boosters up, 73-56, early in the fourth period before the Bolts made a run to close the gap.

Gary David registered 16 points while bigs Reynel Hugnatan and Rabeh Al-Hussaini tallied 13 points apiece for Meralco, which dropped to 3-4.
