PH Azkals set all-time high in FIFA December rankings

MANILA, Philippines—The Philippines hit an all-time high anew, taking the 127th spot in the December rankings of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) released on Thursday.

The men’s football team known as the Azkals are so far unstoppable in its rise to prominence, this time improving six places.

Though the Azkals barely saw action in the past two months, their previous victories in the Peace Cup and the AFC Challenge Cup had weight in their continued improvement in the rankings.

The Philippines also remained the number one squad in Southeast Asia. Myanmar, which leaped 10 spots, came next at 130.
