Daniel Miranda was hailed Karter of the Year while Raymond Cudala emerged best junior karter during the season finale of the 2013 Coca-Cola Karting Super Series at Carmona Racetrack on Sunday.
Engine problems hounded Cudala the whole day as he checked in sixth in the Qualifying Heat and Pre-Final and fourth in the Final race.
After the race, Miranda and KF2 runner-up Bobby Domingo tied with 160 points apiece. Miranda, however, had more first place wins than Domingo to clinch the top award on his birthday.
“This is my happiest and most memorable birthday ever,” said Miranda.
Cudala clinched the Junior Karter of the Year award after ruling KF3.
The day also belonged to Christopher Joseph Tsui who captured the ROK Senior crown of the final leg and the Overall Championship. Gabriel Tayao Cabrera pocketed the ROK Junior, ROK Clubman and Formula SL Novice crowns while Yvana Carangan claimed the Formula SL Expert title.
