Knicks’ Anthony likely to miss 2 games with ankle injury
NEW YORK – Carmelo Anthony will likely miss both ends of the New York Knicks‘ home-and-home series with the Toronto Raptors because of a sprained left ankle.
Anthony sat out the game Friday night in New York and coach Mike Woodson said he didn’t think Anthony would fly with the team for Saturday night’s game in Toronto.
Article continues after this advertisementAnthony was hurt Monday in a victory at Orlando and missed his first game of the season Wednesday in a loss to Oklahoma City. The NBA’s No. 2 scorer has led the Knicks in scoring in every game he has played this season.
J.R. Smith started in Anthony’s place.
