MANILA, Philippines — After a first set let-up, Adamson toughened up on defense and defeated University of the East Sunday in the UAAP season 76 women’s volleyball tournament.

The Lady Falcons came away with a 23-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-10 win, though it marked the first time the Lady Warriors ever won a set in the competition.

But Adamson quickly made changes, tightening its net and floor defense and never letting UE gain momentum and threaten again.
