Thirdy Ravena to join brother Kiefer in Ateneo

MANILA, Philippines — After much speculation, Thirdy Ravena announced that he is officially keeping his talents in Ateneo.

The UAAP juniors basketball Most Valuable Player said that he is joining his older brother Kiefer in the rebuilding Blue Eagles roster.

“It’s official. Finally teammates with @kieferravena for the first time,” Thirdy said on his Twitter (@ThirdyRavenaaa) on Wednesday.

The six-foot-two Thirdy starred for the Blue Eaglets in UAAP season 76 who lost to the National University Bullpups in the finals.

The Ravena brothers on the team together comes as a shot in the arm for the Blue Eagles, who lost key players like Ryan Buenafe, JP Erram and Frank Golla.

Ateneo, once a five-peat champion in the UAAP seniors division, is eyeing a return in the top four after crashing out of the race for the first time since 1998.

“Thirdy will be an important part of Ateneo’s campaign this year and the years to come,” Ateneo head coach Bo Perasol said in a text message to INQUIRER.net
