PBA D-League: Razorbacks go on blistering run late to beat Elite

MANILA, Philippines — Hog’s Breath Café went on a telling run at the finish to beat Blackwater Sports, 73-63, in the 2014 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup Tuesday at the Trinity University of Asia gym in Quezon City.

The Razorbacks closed the game on a 16-2 blast in the final four minutes after trailing 57-61 to improve to 9-3 and move into solo fourth place for the last twice-to-beat edge in the quarterfinals.

Kevin Racal scored 14 points while Philip Paniamogan and Jamil Gabawan chipped in 10 each for Hog’s Breath, which gained a one game lead after Cagayan Valley took a 68-76 loss to Cebuana Lhuillier earlier.

Adamson star Jericho Cruz had 14 points and guard Allan Mangahas added 13 for the Elite, who suffered their second straight setback and are now on the verge of missing the playoffs with a 6-5 card.
