UAAP: FEU bags twice-to-beat in football; UP beats UST in baseball
MANILA, Philippines—Far Eastern University came back from an early deficit to nip University of Santo Tomas, 2-1, and bag a twice-to-beat incentive in the final four of the UAAP Season 76 men’s football Thursday.
Jess Melliza scored the equalizer, his sixth goal of the season, off a timely assist from Eric Giganto in the 27th minute before Arnel Amita converted a header in the 57th that gave the Tamaraws the lead.

UST, which now bears a 3-2-5 slate, remained a point behind University of the East in the race for the last semis berth. The Tigers and the Red Warriors clash in a vital match on Sunday.
In baseball, University of the Philippines poured it all in the final inning to frustrate UST, 14-13, while Adamson breezed past National University, 4-2, at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
The Fighting Maroons refused to wilt by exploded with five runs to nail their second victory in five games to overcome a 13-9 cushion by the Tigers.
UST meanwhile, reeled to its four loss in five matches, the same record as NU.
