Caguioa fined P5,000 over tussle with Abueva
MANILA, Philippines — Ginebra superstar Mark Caguioa was fined P5,000 for his flagrant foul on Alaska’s enigmatic forward Calvin Abueva in last Wednesday’s PBA quarterfinal match-up.
Caguioa elbowed Abueva, who crashed to the floor after losing his balance, a minute into the second period in the game that saw the Aces beat the Kings, 104-97.

The veteran guard was summoned before the PBA commissioner’s office Friday afternoon, but didn’t appear, according to PBA media bureau chief Willie Marcial.
But Marcial said that the summons could be waived.
