MANILA, Philippines — An all-expense paid trip to the Asian Cup series is up for grabs when the two-day K-Swiss ITU Subic International Triathlon fires off starting April 26 at Subic Bay Freeport.
The overall male and female champions in the 1.5K swim-40K bike-10K run race will earn slots in one of the legs of the Asia Cup series this year as other top performers also get a shot at the national team pool.
As an Asian Cup event, local and foreign racers can earn ITU points to improve their World and Asian rankings, said Triathlon Association of the Philippines (Trap) secretary general Mon Marchan, who heads the local organizing committee.
The race will also feature the 2nd Asian Paratriathlon Championships, the National Age-Group Championships and the Inter-Club Competition.
