MANILA, Philippines – Mexican slugger Juan Manuel Marquez said that he “trained very hard” for his upcoming fight with world boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, a 990AM report said Thursday.
Marquez arrived early Thursday in the country where he and Pacquiao would promote their November 12 bout in Las Vegas. He was aboard Philippine Airline flight PR 105 which landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at 5 a.m.
Despite Marquez’s claim that he is ready for Pacquiao, sports analyst Ronnie Nathanielsz thinks otherwise, predicting that Marquez will wind up being beatend handily by Pacquiao.
Speaking on 990AM, Nathanielsz said he noticed that the Mexican boxer was “slower” and that it was “easier to hit him”.
But at the same time, Nathanielsz said that there was little chance that Marquez would be knocked out, pointing out that the Mexican boxer was a proud fighter.
