MANILA, Philippines — Philippines head coach Chot Reyes bared Gilas’ “tough” schedule Tuesday in the 2014 Fiba Basketball World Cup this August in Spain.

Placed in Group B, the Philippines will open its campaign against 2013 EuroBasket semifinalist Croatia on August 30.

Gilas Pilipinas, which will be making its first appearance in the world stage after nearly four decades, will then face Olympic giants Argentina and Greece to cap off a three-day, three-game stretch before going on a one-day break on September 2.

The Philippines will wind up its preliminary round schedule against Puerto Rico (Sept. 3) and Senegal (Sept. 4).
