UE Jr Warriors cop 10th straight volleyball title

MANILA, Philippines — University of the East made quick work of National University, 25-17, 29-27, 25-22, Wednesday to stretch its domination in the UAAP juniors volleyball division to 10 straight years.

The Junior Warriors also copped a league-best 13th boys crown as they completed a sweep of the Bullpups at the packed UE Caloocan Gym.

In contrast to its series opening win, 23-25, 25-15, 25-18, 23-25, 15-13 last Saturday, UE took control of the game early with Edward Camposana asserting his might on offense.

FEATURED STORIES

Camposano, who played his final season for the Junior Warriors, took home his fourth consecutive MVP plum, along with the Best Attacker citation.

Teammates Adrian Imperial and Ron Medalla, meanwhile went home with the Best Setter and Server awards, respectively.

NU awardees in the boys division are Armel Amuan (Rookie of the Year), Kim Adriano (Best Blocker) and Manuel Sumanguid (Best Libero).

Richmond Crisostomo of Season 76 third placer Ateneo was named Best Receiver.
