MANILA, Philippines—Gabriel Tayao Cabrera recently spoke before guests and delegates of the 1st Asia-Pacific Drive Tourism Conference and Exhibition where he pushed for children’s road safety and motorsport tourism at Subic Bay Convention Center.

The 14-year-old Cabrera was the event’s youngest speaker.  He also took part in the groundbreaking ceremony of the Subic-Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP) Children’s Road Safety Park and Dream Parade.

Cabrera said he wants to make racing more suitable for young motorsports enthusiasts.  He observed the lack of programs that will push the growth of young talents.

“Racing, for me, is not always about winning,” said the karting champion.  “Inspiring others with what I do is what makes racing a very fulfilling sport.”   Steve Silva, Contributor
