PBA D-League: Salud bans Cagayan utility over racial insult

A Cagayan Valley utility man has been slapped with a 10-game ban for his “racially insulting” acts against NLEX’s Nigerian center Ola Adeogun in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup.

Bernard Santos was caught taunting Adeogun with a banana from the sidelines in an elimination game last week.

PBA commissioner Chito Salud meted the penalty and said in a statement that “racism has no place in the PBA.” Jasmine W. Payo
