Four share NCA title; top cockers collide Tuesday at Ynares Arena

MANILA, Philippines — Former Rizal governor Ito Ynares, former Interior secretary Ronaldo Puno and Phil Sy will host a star-studded National Cockers Alliance (NCA) derby on Tuesday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Many of the season’s winningest fight birds are expected to be fielded at the venue wholly operated by the Rizal provincial government.

Meanwhile, four entries shared the title in the Feb. 4 derby with 5 points each.

They are “Feb. 19 Elims” of Eric dela Rosa and Butchoy Olano, “CPB AAO” of Gov. Claude Bautista, “UFCC AAO” of Gerry Ramos, and “Jimafer BG” of Jet Fernando.

Half a point behind in second place was “SR Pedro Joshua” of Rep. Unabia.

Sharing third with 4 points each were the entries of RVP and Phil Sy, James Uy and Engr. Meder Datu, Rep. Panganiban, Ka Luding, Dori Du, Rene Medina, and Arnold Mendoza.
