MANILA, Philippines — Med Salim led Chiang Kai Shek College past Hope Christian High School, 82-75, to rule the recent Seaoil-Metro Manila Basketball League at San Beda gym.
The 6-foot-3 Salim fired 24 points, including two charities and a layup in the last 65 seconds to help Chiang Kai Shek College kick off its 2014 campaign on a high note.
For winning the title, the Blue Dragons earned the right to represent Metro Manila in the Seaoil National Basketball Championship.
“It was nice that all our hard work paid off,” coach Goldwin Monteverde.
Jeanne Camelo made it a double celebration for CKSK, firing 54 points, including eight triples, in a 102-79 win over La Salle Antipolo in the girls’ division.
