PBA D-League: NLEX in finals; Big Chill stays alive
MANILA, Philippines –After grabbing the No. 1 spot at the end of the eliminations, NLEX also became the first team to reach the finals of the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup Thursday.
The Road Warriors started strong as in Game 1 of the semifinal series and overpowered Hog’s Breath Cafe, 85-72, at Ynares Sports Arena.
“I’m happy we got this one as early as possible,” said NLEX coach Boyet Fernandez. “If we gave Hog’s a chance to come back, they could be a very strong team.”
