Petronas backs PH motorsport
MANILA, Philippines — Petron Energy Philippines Inc. (Pepi), the distributor of Petronas lubricants in the country, renewed yesterday its title sponsorship for the 2014 season of the Petronas Philippine Motorsport Championship.
It’s the second straight year that Petronas Philippines, a subsidiary of Malaysian national oil company Petroliam Nasional Berhad, poured its support to local racing and extended its participation on both two and four wheel racing series slated for the 2014 PH Motorsport calendar.
The contract signing was forged by Pepi marketing manager Joel Francisco, Racewell marketing CEO Robert Ortiz, and Batangas Racing Circuit Inc. managing head for corporate communications department Nelson Gayola.
Pepi will support the Pirelli Philippine Superbikes Series, FDR Philippine Scooter Racing Championships, and the FDR Philippine Underbone King Championships.
